Tamales suck!

Today was the first time I tried making tamales and I don’t know why, but they just suck.

I probably didn’t soak the husks long enough, they just wouldn’t fold up nicely or even stay folded. And spreading the dough on the husks was crazy hard for me.

And I ended up using only 3/4ths of the dough and about 2/3rds of the meat.

I didn’t have a nice big steamer basket and the one I used was much to small for how many tamales I made. They kept sliding off.

I don’t think I’ll ever make tamales again.

They are steaming and I sure hope that they taste good when they are done.

Cup o’ tea

I’m sitting in the hot sun right now. Listening to a old newsboys song and my computers fan.
This morning I “ran” two and a half miles. I probably only ran a half mile or three-fourths of one. Don’t make fun of me. It has been a long time since I’ve ran. Right now I have that tiredness that comes with working out. The only thing you really want to do is sleep but you aren’t really tired.

Oh crap! I think my computer just over heated and shut off! I got to go!

Sigh

Yet another move for my blog. I’ve decided that I’m going to have my blog on my own domain, separate from the one that is attached to my name and my “business” (Business is a very loose term, I think I’ve only had two or three paying gigs…).

About the name/url/uri/thing-you-type, it’s based on one of the oldest screen names i have. While caldar.com wanted $1000 to be owned, cldar.com was only $15 for 2 years. And it’s shorter to boot. And the fun thing about it, is that since it’s just my blog domain, I can do fun things like say email me @cldar.com. Get it? me @ cldar.com? It’s a new email address (just remove the spaces). It’s fun to say – until you get to the domain name. Cldar. So far i’ve been “sill-dar”, anyone else have any ideas?
